Abstract
The security of an application is of fundamental importance and its necessity istherefore emphasized in this work. Applications are constantly exposed to different
threat scenarios, as they are analyzed by tools or people with different intentions
to find possible vulnerabilities and ways to exploit them. Microservice applications
are deployed on distributed systems and are connected to a network, which leads
to an extended threat landscape. Hence, the threat landscape must be regularly
evaluated, and the requirements adapted accordingly.
The need for a process to integrate security into the software development lifecycle
can be quickly identified, with tools being used to automate or support the process.
A possible means to use the evaluated tools provided by the ”
Open Worldwide
Application Security Project“ (OWASP) Foundation is shown in this thesis.
