Abstract

This master's thesis examines the impact of toxic masculinity and anti-feminist ideologies on the self-perception of young male individuals. The goal is to identify typical characteristics and manifestations of toxic masculinity as well as anti-feminist ideologies and to analyze their impact on self-perception. Both the psychological and social effects that these ideologies can have on young people are explored. Finally, approaches and strategies are discussed, to mitigate the negative effects of these ideologies and support positive identity formation.
