Change managers face numerous challenges when implementing transformation initiatives. Two key aspects are opening systems to change requests and channeling uncertainty, fears, and resistance throughout the process. Both are reflected in the level of change engagement with which the system participates in the change. Based on qualitative methods, the study shows that Participatory Data Physicalization becomes particularly effective when fit, materiality, and interaction are carefully designed and embedded through facilitation and reflection. As an exploratory study, it provides starting points for further developing PDP in the context of change, testing it in practice, and examining it in greater scientific depth.
