This thesis deals with the topic of ‘Crisis intervention in mobile youth work’. The main objective of this thesis is to analyse the methods of action in crises with all their resources and difficulties in the setting of mobile youth work and to feed these back into the field of action. For this reason, research was conducted into the ways in which mobile youth work can help to overcome crises. In order to answer the research question, eleven guided interviews were conducted with mobile youth work professionals. The results show how diverse the crises in mobile youth work are, as well as the situations of the people affected. As no definition of crisis or crisis intervention was given in advance in the interviews, the range of crises with their peripheral issues is represented. Insights into conflict escalation, crises and even self-harming escalation and the resulting emergencies were collected and presented. Depending on the case, different actions are taken, whereby the essential points such as clarifying the situation, relationship work, symptom relief, involving the environment and working out solution strategies are fixed components of crisis intervention. In mobile youth work, work is often carried out with the affected persons for longer and also outside of crises. The importance of non-crisis time was often emphasised in order to work on the resources and self-esteem of those affected.
