    Abstract

This bachelor's thesis focuses on the comparison of Investor Relations (IR) websites of publicly listed companies from various international indices (EuroStoxx 50, S&P 500, NIKKEI, and Kospi). In the digital age, IR websites serve as essential communication tools for publicly listed companies, fostering transparency and building investor trust. However, existing studies reveal research gaps, particularly in the international comparison of IR websites. The objective of this thesis is to systematically analyze the IR websites of 60 companies from the mentioned indices, identifying similarities and differences, and deriving best practices. The study employs a comprehensive literature review and an empirical analysis. The websites were evaluated based on criteria such as structure, content, interaction, media, and the Capital Markets Day (CMD). The analysis reveals significant regional differences. American companies tend to focus on technical solutions such as redirecting and virtual general meetings, while European companies stand out with clear equity stories and events like CMD. Companies from Asia primarily emphasize standardized financial information. Best practices were derived from an analysis of the IR websites of Deutsche Telekom, SAP, BASF, ExxonMobil, and Samsung Electronics. The findings demonstrate that IR websites play a central role in financial communication, yet there remains room for optimization, particularly in implementing international best practices. The insights gained offer practical implications for companies seeking to enhance their IR websites.
