Sprecher Automation, an internationally operating company in the field of automation and control technology, faces the challenge of managing inventory levels and article information in a transparent and structured manner. The wide variety of product groups, consisting of semifinished goods, modular items, as well as externally procured and in-house manufactured components, makes it difficult to maintain a continuous overview of current stock levels, supply coverage, and various other key performance indicators. Existing systems offer only limited analysis capabilities, which leads to information gaps both in day-to-day operations and in medium- to long-term planning. In response to this problem, the objective of this master’s thesis was to design a centralized, interactive dashboard that enables datadriven monitoring of inventory and article-related information, tailored specifically to the needs of Sprecher Automation. The structure of the project follows the “CRISP-DM-Cycle” to ensure a systematic and methodologically sound approach. The foundation of the implementation is a qualitative assessment of user requirements. In guided interviews with stakeholders from various departments, concrete demands and information needs regarding inventory and article data management were identified. The analysis was conducted within the framework of a structured requirement development process. Based on these results, a Power BI data model was developed, integrating warehouse movements, article master data, stock information, classifications, and planning data. The model was further enhanced by a dynamically generated calendar table and numerous calculated key figures, such as stock coverage, inventory turnover, and material consumption rates. The result is a fully functional BI dashboard that allows users to analyze article and inventory information from multiple perspectives. Users can filter specifically for individual articles, track consumption trends, and visually detect critical stock levels. This dashboard provides a transparent and user-friendly foundation for both operational and strategic decision-making at Sprecher Automation and contributes to the digitalization of inventory and information processes within the company
