    Abstract

This master's thesis examines the integration of migrant care workers into multicultural care teams, with a particular focus on the challenges and solutions in intercultural care management. The demand for care professionals in Austria is increasing due to demographic changes and a growing shortage of skilled workers, making the recruitment of foreign care personnel a critical measure. However, this migration presents specific challenges, such as language barriers, cultural differences, and bureaucratic obstacles. The aim of this study is to systematically analyze the challenges faced by migrant care workers in their professional environment and identify suitable integration measures. These include intercultural training, mentoring programs, and other approaches that support the better integration of care workers into teams. Through a comprehensive literature review, a theoretical framework is developed that addresses the specific needs of this target group. The research follows a qualitative approach, utilizing a systematic literature review to synthesize existing studies and findings. Based on this analysis, measures are derived that can enhance job satisfaction and retention among care workers. The focus is on developing strategies that enable long-term integration and successful collaboration in multicultural teams. The results of this study aim to contribute not only to the academic discussion on the integration of care professionals but also to provide practical recommendations for leaders in the healthcare sector to strengthen intercultural collaboration and address the care shortage.
