In today's dynamic economic environment, companies are struggling to expand and enter new markets while it gets more and more difficult to compete with the competition. AR-Transporte GmbH plans to transform from a transport service provider to a complete B2B trader. This transformation is driven by the need to secure long term growth, strengthen their market position, and gain new revenue streams. This bachelor's thesis aims to develop a structured concept for this transition, using the Business Model Canvas (BMC) as a central tool. First, an analysis of the differences between a transport service provider and a supplier with the focus on the supply is given. Afterwards an analysis of the company regarding its strengths and weaknesses is performed, in order to get a proper impression of the new concept. Based on this foundation, the Business Model Canvas (BMC) is applied to identify and design the essential elements of the new business model to ensure the company´s improvement. The results of the thesis demonstrate that the transformation of AR-Transporte GmbH into a B2B trader can be successfully implemented through systematic adjustments. By applying the Business Model Canvas (BMC), new customer segments were identified, important value propositions were developed, and important key partners were found. The analysis showed that the combination of cost reduction and value enhancement for customers offers advantages and growth potential for the business. At the end of the concept, the implementation of continous monitoring and adjustments of the strategy, based on defined Key Performance Indicators (KPI) and feedback from customers are crucial to ensure the sustainability of the new business model. This thesis provides AR-Transporte GmbH with a concept for a successful transformation from a transport service provider to a B2B trader with the focus on ensuring strengthening the company´s long term competitiveness and market relevance.
