This master’s thesis examines the relevance, acceptance, and effectiveness of the labour market policy project “Perspektive+”, which aims to support long-term unemployed individuals and people facing multiple challenges through individualized counselling and accompanying support services on their path toward professional integration. The underlying assumption of this study is that long-term unemployment entails not only economic disadvantages but also profound psychosocial consequences, which mutually reinforce each other and significantly hinder sustainable reintegration into the labour market. Based on labour market theories and current labour market policy measures in Austria, the thesis first analyses the structural framework of the problem. The empirical section presents an evaluation study conducted in the form of a quantitative survey of project participants to assess their satisfaction with the program, identify possible learning effects, and detect behavioural changes. The aim is to identify potential impact mechanisms within the project and to derive recommendations for the further development of Perspektive+. The results indicate that the person-centred orientation of the project contributes significantly to the stabilization and reintegration of participants, while simultaneously revealing structural challenges.
