Abstract

On the one hand, the volatile economic situation of recent years and its financial impact on the paper industry, on the other hand, the lack of process knowledge in the area of the finished paper goods warehouse of Zellstoff Pöls AG and the resulting economic disadvantages, are the motivation for the preparation of this bachelor thesis. The aim of this thesis is the theory- and method-based solution to the fact that there is no optimal utilization of the resources used in the area of the finished paper goods warehouse of Zellstoff Pöls AG. The result of this thesis should also serve as a guideline for other industrial companies, where there is also waste in the finished goods warehouse due to a lack of process management. This thesis consists of four chapters, whereby two chapters provide the theoretical input on the topics of intralogistics processes in a finished goods warehouse and process management and two chapters provide the practical output in the form of a general guideline for the course of a process management project in a finished goods warehouse of an industrial company and the identification of optimization potentials in the intralogistics processes in the finished paper goods warehouse of Zellstoff Pöls AG with the help of process management methods. The result of this bachelor thesis is a guideline for industrial companies planning to implement a process management project in their finished goods warehouse. On the one hand, this guideline describes the process of such a process management project, and on the other hand, it provides assistance in the form of checklists and method application examples that contribute to the successful implementation of such a project. This approach is intended to support industrial companies in implementing their corporate goals in the area of finished goods warehousing. In addition, this thesis shows optimization potentials in the area of the finished paper goods warehouse of Zellstoff Pöls AG, which are explored using process management methods. These optimization potentials should contribute to the achievement of the company's economic goals. The improvements of a process in the area of the finished paper goods warehouse of Zellstoff Pöls AG are discussed in detail and the resulting cost savings are shown, taking into account social aspects. The results of this bachelor thesis are intended to support the course of a process management project in the area of a finished goods warehouse with theoretical and practical methodological knowledge and serve as an aid for future decisions regarding the optimization of intralogistics processes in a finished goods warehouse of an industrial company.
