In times of increasing psychological and physical strain in the workplace, Workplace Health Promotion (WHP) is gaining strategic importance. This thesis examines success factors and challenges in the implementation of WHP measures within organizational change processes, taking into account key principles of change management. The theoretical framework includes the fundamentals of WHP, models by Lewin and Kotter, and the relevance of communication, leadership, and participation. Empirical findings were derived from guided expert interviews conducted in selected postal distribution centers and supplemented by an internal employee survey. The qualitative content analysis according to Mayring served as the evaluation method. The findings reveal that strategic communication, the involvement of leadership, target group-specific planning, and the consideration of internal and external influencing factors are essential for success. Challenges include limited resources, inconsistent participation, cultural legacy issues, and ongoing presenteeism. Combining theoretical change management models with practical insights enables the derivation of concrete recommendations for action. WHP emerges as a long-term change process that must be anchored both structurally and culturally to ensure sustainable impact.
