Abstract

This bachelor's thesis examines the efficiency of employee integration in manufacturing companies through the use of digital technologies. The challenges of the labor market, driven by demographic changes and technological innovations, necessitate an adjustment of onboarding strategies. The goal is to integrate new employees more efficiently into company structures and strengthen their long-term commitment. Various phases of onboarding are described, including pre-boarding, orientation and onboarding. Particular attention is given to digital tools such as automation tools, communication tools and extended reality, which are intended to enhance efficiency and promote social integration and the development of a strong corporate culture. The thesis analyzes the impact of these digital tools on the employee experience and performance to develop a comprehensive understanding of the advantages and challenges of digital onboarding processes. Using a practical example from a manufacturing company, the thesis demonstrates the positive effects that a well-planned digital onboarding process can have on employee retention and corporate culture. The results show that digital onboarding can significantly increase the efficiency of the integration process. Digital tools offer a variety of possibilities for interactive and engaging onboarding, which facilitates the rapid transfer of knowledge and skills as well as social and cultural integration. The conclusion of the thesis emphasizes the necessity of careful planning and adaptation of digital onboarding strategies to the specific needs of companies and employees. In the future, personalized onboarding programs and the use of artificial intelligence and virtual reality will become increasingly important.
