    Abstract

This master's thesis examines the influence of the introduction of a digital employee app on internal communication in a company. The aim is to analyse whether the app improves the quality of information, the timing of its provision and the efficiency of work processes. Theoretically, the work is based on concepts of communication and organisational research, with a particular focus on the role of digital tools in optimising internal information flows and information quality. The methodology is based on a quantitative before-and-after design with two standardised online surveys. The data was collected using Microsoft Forms and analysed using descriptive statistics in Microsoft Excel. The results show that the app contributes to a faster and more targeted provision of information. In particular, the respondents rated the structure, comprehensibility and findability of the content more favourably. There are also indications of a more efficient organisation of work processes. Overall, the app makes a noticeable contribution to optimising internal communication
