    Abstract

This master thesis deals with the development of an online marketplace solution to
facilitate the easy exchange of personal energy data within the European Union (EU).
The underlying concept is based on common European data spaces, which promote a
secure, transparent and standardized environment for data exchange in accordance with
EU regulations. The thesis examines the architectural and functional aspects of data
spaces, including their design principles, building blocks and implementation challenges.
The proposed concept presents a decentralized architecture that enables direct data
transfer between two participants without the need to rely on central infrastructures
such as cloud solutions. An permission system ensures data sovereignty so that owners
retain full control over the exchange of their personal energy data. A practical prototype
that implements the basic functions of the concept and demonstrates the feasibility of
    data sovereignty is also presented.
This work is part of the EU project EDDIE (European Distributed Data Infrastructure for Energy), which aims to develop a standardized interface for near real-time and
historically validated energy data within the EU.
