The master's thesis looks at how important ecological sustainability is when choosing an employer. This topic is becoming more relevant due to the "War for Talent" and a growing lack of skilled workers. The study focuses on how employees view companies that follow ecological principles. It uses responses from an online survey with 1,020 participants. The main issue is that companies need to do more than just offer jobs; they must also match their values with what potential employees expect, especially those from Generations Y and Z who care a lot about sustainability, social responsibility, and ethical leadership. The goal of the thesis is to deeply understand what companies need to do to be seen as environmentally friendly by employees. It also looks at how employees value jobs that aim to achieve sustainability goals. Another key point is how important a company's green practices are to younger generations. The method used includes a detailed look at previous studies on sustainability and an analysis of the survey results. The findings show that employees really value green practices and think that things like reducing waste, using renewable energy and buying sustainable materials are very important. The thesis ends with some tips for companies on how to be more attractive to potential employees by being more sustainable. It also suggests that companies should push for education and involvement in sustainability to keep employees happy and create a positive work environment.
