This master's thesis deals with the development of a data management guideline for process mining in radiology. The aim is to integrate data management aspects as well as legal framework conditions and change management aspects in order to support organizations in the healthcare sector with the introduction of process mining using a guideline. The starting point is the author's previous work and publications from the technical field of process mining. The work is divided into six chapters. Chapter 2 defines key terms such as data quality, data management, data quality management, master data, reference data, data governance, data management guideline, process mining and HL7. Chapter 3 deals with the process mining sector in the healthcare sector in relation to data management and data governance based on a literature review. As a result of the research, data governance and research findings in the field of data management are selected for the course of this thesis. Chapter 4 deals with the creation of the data management guideline. Chapter 5 contains expert interviews and their use to complete the model. The sixth chapter summarizes this work, answers the research question and shows the limitations of the work. This master's thesis is based on a qualitative literature review, which was analyzed using the SQ3R method. The results of the literature research show that the topic of data management guidelines for process mining in the healthcare sector has not yet been dealt with scientifically. Based on the literature review, data governance models that have been developed specifically for the healthcare sector and process mining are presented and discussed. Subsequently, challenges and success factors for data management are defined on the basis of literature statements. Based on these results, a data management model is created and evaluated by experts. These findings are used to answer the research question and sub-research questions. These are as follows: How does the implementation of a data management guideline for process mining affect the quality of data exchange? How can a data management guideline be implemented in the healthcare sector? What opportunities and challenges arise from the implementation of the data management guideline in the healthcare sector? The data management guideline is the result of this work, which is intended to help hospitals and radiology departments to improve data quality and facilitate the use of process mining in radiology. Furthermore, this work is intended to provide a starting point for further scientific work.
