Abstract

This article shows how a couple of local communes can share their machines, equipments as well as their truck fleet. As a result of a project work with the University of Applied Sciences Upper Austria, 5 local communes in the district Grieskirchen chose to work together in this area. They now benefit from a larger pool of devices, with lower costs and they organise the cooperation taylor-madely to their needs. The project shows that it is relatively easy to implement and it strengthens also the trust among the communes.
