WEAR RESISTANCE OF SCREW AND MOLD MATERIALS AND PVD COATINGS FOR POLYMER PROCESSING

Research output: Chapter in Book/Report/Conference proceedingsConference contribution

Abstract

The processing of filled and reinforced polymeric materials can cause wear at the plasticizing screw, tools, die, mold or the calibration. This work deals with tribological tests of glass fiber (GF) reinforced Polyamide 6.6 (PA6.6) against screw and mold materials and three different physical-vapor-deposited (PVD) coatings.
