Abstract

The method involves connecting a controllable dynamic rotating machine that serves as a prime mover or dynamometer (2) with a torque generator (1) by a connecting shaft (3). Torque transmitted through the connecting shaft is determined at pseudo-stochastic rotational speeds in an identification phase by utilizing the dynamometer. Parameters describing dynamic behavior of the shaft are determined and are utilized for further testing. An independent claim is also included for a device for determining dynamic behavior of a connecting shaft.
