Abstract

This work is dedicated to the mechanical testing of the materials used for the nuclear plants applications in the hot cells facility built in Czech Republic. The variety of mechanical tests performed in the Research Center Rez, Ltd., is described. Namely, an experimental work on the irradiated A533 pressure vessel steel and mechanical behavior of Cr-Ni-Ti steel in the corrosive environment at elevated temperatures are presented. The evolution of the hot cells from the construction to the active mechanical testing of the irradiated materials is described.
