Abstract

The cubic Laves phase compound YMn₂ is known for strongly enhanced spin fluctuations above T_N, the ordering temperature of the Mn sublattice. On substitution of Y by Lu T_N is shifted towards lower temperatures providing a way to study the spin fluctuation behaviour down to lowest temperatures.
