Abstract
The aim of this work is to show the influence of the formulation on the property profiles of polyolefin based WPC, as well as some possibilities for applications of WPC in the injection molding process. In conclusion, we found that the formulation shows great influence on the property profile of the WPC. Not only the amount of wood in the composite is a critical factor, but also the polyolefin grade influences properties like tensile strength or shrinkage. Additionally, with the injection molded parts, one can see the possibilities of these materials, but also the critical issues one should to be aware of when using WPC in the injection molding process.
