Abstract

X-ray diffraction and Mössbauer spectroscopy investigations are reported on YMn2 doped with 1% Fe. Even at 4.2 K a part of the sample, where the Fe atoms are nonmagnetic, remains with the cubic structure. Fe atoms within the distorted structure exhibit antiferromagnetic exchange interaction.
