Abstract

The development of international Supply Chain networks and the logistics strategies behind them are one of the main driving forces within freight transportation. This papers purpose is to give an overview and describe the research gap in literature and scientific community about how logistics strategies interrelate with freight traffic transportation. The paper is based on a broad literature review and presents the findings of investigations and research work from scientist in this field. The results show that there still exists a lack of being able mapping the interrelationships.
