Abstract

The key objective of this paper is to show the benefits of using load bearing and stiffening timber-glass-composite structures for practical application in buildings. The advantages of using timber-glass-composite structures, concerning constructive aspects and structural behavior will be illustrated by the presentation of the results of a current research project of the Institute of Architectural Sciences, Department of Structural Design and Timber Engineering.
