Abstract

In recent years, the field of inverse dynamics is becoming more and more important in multibody system dynamics applications. The adjoint method shows an efficient way to incorporate inverse dynamics to engineering multibody applications, as e.g. parameter identification or optimal control. In case of the identification of parameters in oscillating multibody systems, the combination of a Fourier analysis and the adjoint method is an obvious and promising approach. The current paper presents an inverse dynamics toolbox for multibody systems which provides a new strategy for the solution of parameter identification in frequency-domain using adjoint Fourier coefficients.
