Abstract

The flowability of a granular material is essential for the design and operation of transport equipment and storage facilities for such material. Thereby, the humidity of the atmosphere can play an important role. The flowability of the straw combustion fly ash was generally low. It decreased somewhat with increasing humidity of the atmosphere. This effect was strong for low values of the consolidation stress. At higher values of the consolidation stress this effect diminished.
