N2 - This work in progress explores the transformative potential of Extended Reality (XR) in enhancing skills for Industry 5.0. With the industrial landscape evolving towards a human-centric approach, there is an increasing need for advanced training and education methods. XR technologies, including Virtual Reality, Augmented Reality, and Mixed Reality, offer immersive and engaging experiences, providing an innovative platform for skill enhancement in industrial settings. However, challenges such as high costs, technical complexity, and the potential mismatch between real-world and virtual environemnts hinder an effective and safe implementation of XR-based training. This research addresses the integration of XR in training and education in industral settings, focusing on developing a comprehensive XR Learning Content Management System, innovative training modules, and an evaluation framework tailored to Industry 5.0's requirements. The work aims to contribute significantly to the understanding of XR's role regarding training and education in Industry 5.0, and to enhance human-centric skills for the future workforce.
