Abstract
The introduced research project deals with the development of a robot with
chain drive which can also operate in the most difficult area autonomously.
This requires a digital controller unit. For this robot the Single Board RIO
from National Instruments is used. It is a modular controlling system which
is monitoring the sensor data, controlling the actuators and execute the
main tasks for planning and navigation of the robot via WLAN.
