Abstract

Coco-2 is a new compiler compiler based on the generators Alex and Coco. The two most interesting features of Coco-2 are the combination of the description of the lexical structure and syntax/semantics within a single document and the implementation of an efficient table-driven top-down parsing method which allows powerful semantic evaluation in combination with high-quality automatic error handling.
