CEE Internationalisation of Austrian SMEs: Following the Uppsala Model After Gaining Visegrad Experience

Research output: Chapter in Book/Report/Conference proceedingsConference contributionpeer-review

Abstract

The paper builds on findings from the 2013 barometer study among 244 Austrian SMEs. The analysis reveals that the early experience gained from Visegrad countries affects entry modes, to which Austrian companies gravitate when entering other Central and Eastern European markets. With gradual early Visegrad experience, the companies are more likely to deploy serious resources in the region of CEE and set up their own subsidiaries.
