Abstract

This paper presents the concept of a software system to benchmark scheduling algorithms in a simulated manufacturing environment. The proposed software includes a component to automatically generate simulation models from data of a real life manufacturing scenario. Users can adjust the generated model to simulate di-erent control strategies and dispatching rules. A special feature of the developed software is the integration of SAP/ERP in the modeling and simulation process. This paper describes the architecture of the databased simulation generator and the generic simulation model.
