Abstract
The Advanced Nursing Practice (ANP) framework concept Austria 2024 is the result of a broad and in-depth Austria-wide dialogue on the topic of ANP/APN (Advanced Practice Nurse) and serves as a toolbox and aid for the sustainable implementation of ANP in the various settings. In addition to international findings and experience, special consideration was given to the diverse perspectives, potential and knowledge of Austrian APNs, nursing experts, nursing managers, nursing scientists and nursing educators when designing the framework concept. The ANP framework concept is a pragmatically applicable paper geared towards the Austrian framework conditions, which highlights the various challenges in establishing ANP and aims to optimise care for the population.
