Abstract

In this paper we present the state-space method to estimate the parameters of a signal model expressed as a sum of damped complex exponentials from a noisy waveform samples recorded during some power system disturbances. The method is based on the Singular Value Decomposition of the Hankel data matrix. It is shown using practical examples that the method displays high parameter estimation accuracy.
