Abstract

A dynamical model is proposed for simulating electrocardiogram (ECG) signals. Instead of modeling the time history of an arbitrary ECG signal we propose to model the cardiac vector loop by a nonlinear dynamical model. This model describes the movement of the cardiac dipole vector which travels through elliptic orbits. From the so obtained vector loop an ECG signal corresponding to a certain lead can be computed by projecting the dipole vector onto a certain axis.
