Abstract

This paper describes new methods and concepts for testing Near Field Communication (NFC) devices and Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) Tags and Readers. NFC is a new emerging technology and has still many open issues in standards and test methods. We developed an NFC test system to find concepts solving the open issues of the standards. The test cases of the standards were implemented and examined with the test system. We discuss the measurement methods and the results of our tests. Three NFC devices were tested and compared together for this paper.
