Project Details

Description

This project focuses on reducing transport pollution by using environmentally friendly means of transport and transport chains within the company. To this end, the area of application of the in-house diesel forklift fleet is to be analyzed in detail and a fleet conversion to electric forklifts or H2 forklifts is to be examined with regard to technical feasibility, economic efficiency and ecological benefits. The ecological scope is limited to the direct emissions of the internal forklift fleet (Scope 1) and the indirect emissions that arise from the generation of purchased energy (diesel, electricity) for the operation of the vehicle fleet (Scope 2). In addition, the areas of use considered are examined for possible automation potential in forklift truck operation and recommendations for action for a gradual fleet conversion are given for both areas.
