Project NEXT pioneers the establishment of data literacy in complex value networks within the retail sector. Collaborating with industry and academic partners, the project leverages advanced data mining and artificial intelligence algorithms to generate actionable insights and predictive capabilities for supply chain behavior. Following the CRISP-DM framework, NEXT develops innovative decision-support features that empower proactive, data-driven decisions across the network. By integrating both internal and external data sources, NEXT enables insight-based decisions on operational, tactical, and strategic supply chain levels. Key applications include enhanced demand forecasting for point-of-sale customer needs, supplier reliability assessment, and optimized management of out-of-stock scenarios and product waste in grocery retail.
