HyBRID – Teil1 (Soft) - H2-Researchcenter

Project Details

Description

In the HyBRID project, a comprehensive hydrogen research and testing infrastructure is being designed and built. Based on the needs in Upper Austria, the existing expertise of the FH Upper Austria Wels Campus, and strategic framework conditions, the following thematic focal points have been defined for the hydrogen research center:

Thermal use of hydrogen in high-temperature processes
Interaction of hydrogen with materials and components
Hydrogen in the electric grid network
Process engineering use of hydrogen
With HyBRID, the foundation is laid for pioneering hydrogen fundamental research and, later, also application-oriented research in Upper Austria, to ensure the efficient and effective use of climate-neutral hydrogen. This supports and advances the sustainable structural transformation of industry and society towards climate neutrality.
