Description
"Damage characterization of fibre reinforced polymers by X-ray computed tomography” - Goal of this project is the development of a toolbox for a complete damage characterization of fibre reinforced polymers, which allows the prediction of changes in the micro-structure, hence changes on material properties, under certain stresses and strains. By the use of X-ray computed tomography (CT), different aspects are going to be investigated:
• Correlation / Influence of micro-structure on properties
• Differences between various materials, differing in fibre length, type, orientation etc.
• Behavior under various loading conditions
