BF- Basisfinanzierung DfD - Circular economy of mechatronic systems - Design for Disassembly (DfD)

Project Details

Description

The development of a circular economy is an important goal both in industry and at various political levels. In order to achieve this goal, intensive cooperation between different research areas is necessary. The University of Applied Sciences Upper Austria already has many different areas of expertise, which should be brought together synergistically. One aim of this project is therefore to identify and prepare future research topics in the field of "Circular economy of mechatronic systems" together with various research groups at the University of Applied Sciences Upper Austria. Based on this, joint research proposals are to be formulated and submitted. As a starting point in this extensive topic, a methodology for the transparent evaluation and optimization of the dismantlability of mechatronic systems is to be developed as a further project result. On the one hand, this should contain development and design guidelines and, on the other hand, also provide indicator values for the quantitative assessment of the dismantlability of mechatronic systems, already in their development phase. Validation of the methodology using academic case studies is also planned.
