Project Details
Description
"The AuMi research project explores the opportunities and challenges of an autonomous micro-location in brick-and-mortar retail, addressing current developments such as high energy and personnel costs, workforce shortages, and changing consumer behavior. The aim is to develop a future-proof retail concept that leverages modern technologies to integrate physical and digital shopping experiences and offers advantages to customers through automated store concepts without traditional sales staff.
Building on the “AuMi Start” project, the follow-up project “AuMi ProCon” aims to develop suitable operating models and a business plan for the actual establishment of an autonomous micro-location. This site will serve as a research hub, enabling further research into automated store concepts. The project is being carried out through a collaboration between eccovia, Mastercard, PayOne, and the Logistikum.RETAIL at the University of Applied Sciences Upper Austria."
