Mag. Stefanie Sterrer, BSc. studied sociology at the University of Salzburg and Vienna and economics at the JKU Linz and the WU Vienna. She has been a social scientist in the Higher Education Research and Development team at the University of Applied Sciences Upper Austria since 2012 and conducts research on topics such as university types and profile formation, university governance and leadership, research governance and epistemic living spaces, as well as diversity in research, teaching and studies. She is currently a doctoral candidate at the Institute for Science and Technology Studies at the University of Vienna and is writing her PhD on the topic of "Research at Universities of Applied Sciences".
