About me

Dr. Roman Froschauer completed his master's degree in 2005 at the University of Applied Sciences Upper Austria in the field of industrial computer science and received his PhD in 2010 from Johannes Kepler University Linz, Austria, in the field of computer science on the topic of variant modeling for automation systems. From 2010 to 2016, he worked as a senior software developer and project manager at AlpinaTec Technical Products GmbH, where he was mainly responsible for projects related to aerospace applications. After working as a part-time lecturer for several years, he has been Professor of Production Informatics since 2016 and Director of Studies for the Master's program Robotic Systems Engineering at the Wels Campus since 2018. Currently, he also leads the research group "Smart Automation & Robotics" at the Wels campus. His research interests are software engineering for intelligent automation systems and robots as well as human-robot interaction in industrial environments.
