Die Forschungsgruppe „Playful Interactive Environments“ (PIE) untersucht an der Schnittstelle zwischen den Medien Computerspiel und Animation neue natürliche und spielerische Interaktionsformen. Dabei werden Ansätze mit Eye-Tracking, gruppengesteuerten Spielen, audioreaktiver Interaktion sowie auch Augmented und Virtual Reality entwickelt und auf ihre Anwendbarkeit in den Bereichen Wirtschaft, Gesellschaft, Gesundheit und Kunst evaluiert.
