Ist eines der führenden österreichischen Forschungslabors im Bereich Human-Computer Interaction. Das Labor ist Teil des Departments für Digitale Medien und kombiniert technisches Know-how mit gestalterischer Expertise, ausgehend von einem grundlegenden Verständnis der Benutzer*innen und deren Bedürfnissen. Schwerpunkte sind dabei die Erforschung und Entwicklung von Computerschnittstellen von morgen. Im COMET Projekt „Textile- UX“ wird zurzeit gemeinsam mit der JKU Linz an smarten drucksensitiven Textilien (Gewebe, Gestricke etc.) geforscht, welche derzeit vor allem in der Automobilindustrie Anwendung finden. Im Beyond Europe Projekt „Innovation Playground“ werden innovative Arbeitsraume entwickelt, die durch Kombination von flexiblen Raumkonzepten, smarten Möbeln und digitalen Tools zur Unterstützung unternehmensinterner Innovationsprozesse dienen.
