Neue Interaktionskonzepte und Technologien ermöglichen die Entwicklung und Nutzung von natürlichen Benutzerschnittstellen für industrielle Arbeitsplatze sowie für Menschen mit Körperlichen oder geistigen Einschränkungen. Für diese Anwendungsdomänen werden von der Forschungsgruppe assistierende Systeme und Hilfsmittel entwickelt, um Arbeitsprozesse und Aktivitäten des täglichen Lebens zu erleichtern. Dabei kommen Methoden wie Contextual Inquiry, Design Thinking und Interaktionsdesign zum Einsatz.
