Cross-cultural education has recently become more and more important as a key success factor for successful cross-cultural sales and management. The programme "Global Sales Management" at the Management Faculty in Steyr, University of Applied Sciences in Upper Austria has created a Cross-Cultural Compentence Centre and one of the first activities of this centre was the creation of the Steyr Intercultural Management Model (SIMM) which can provide users with the information why certain cross-cultural problems and diffrences occur. therefore the "SIMM" and the pedagogicall approach of the "SIMM" model were developed and will become part of the regular teaching activities in the GSM programme by October 2010.
