Description
We live in a world where two-thirds of today’s school children will work in jobs that don’t yet exist (Fisch & McLeod, 2010) and where more students will be educated over the next thirty years than since the beginning of recorded history (Koulopoulos & Keldsen, 2016). Times are changing and so, therefore, education must rise to meet these challenges. Learners no longer see learning limited to institutes but are used to being able to access the information they require anywhere and anytime, seamlessly. This paper looks into didactical methods and approaches which can be utilized in order to meet these requirements and to engage the first generation of digital natives. It looks at the role of the teacher in an online world, where information is ubiquitous, and teachers must adapt.
