Pricing Strategy von Warranty & Indemnity Insurances Chancen und Herausforderungen aus der Sicht einer österreichischen Versicherungsgesellschaft

Abstract

M&A transactions are an essential part of global business and enable companies to expand their business potential, tap into new markets and realize synergy effects. However, these transactions are also associated with considerable risks. W&I insurance offers companies protection against the risks associated with M&A transactions. In recent years, the demand for W&I insurance in Austria has increased continuously, which can be attributed to the stable M&A market in the region. Austrian insurance companies have the opportunity to position themselves as providers of W&I insurance and thus open up new business areas. This master's thesis examines the importance of W&I insurance for Austrian insurance companies. It focuses on the opportunities and challenges from the stakeholders' perspective and analyzes the current status of W&I insurance on the Austrian insurance market. In addition, the calculation parameters and risks for determining the insurance premium are determined and the possibilities for developing a corresponding model are examined.
